Indiana Ultimate Foundation is a non-profit organization created for the purpose of representing and driving the growth of Indiana's Ultimate community at each level of play. At the core of this organization is a President, Vice President, Treasurer, and Secretary, who work alongside three Trustees to discuss the needs of our Ultimate community and develop ways to meet them. It is the purpose of the board to work collaboratively with committee chairs and the Ultimate community to overcome the challenges of each demographic, foster growth, and fulfill IUF's Mission and Vision Statement.
President: John Rempel
Currently I participate in recreational leagues and compete in the Great Grand Masters division of USA Ultimate. I am also involved in organizing and coaching youth programs, including our HS Indoor Leagues and Tournament, Youth Summer League & Youth Club teams that compete in the USA Ultimate U.S. Open, Youth Club Championships.
I am extremely excited that IUF has created a "same-page" effort for the growth and development of all Ultimate in Indiana. I am proud that IUF is a USA Ultimate Affiliate Organization that allows us to provide numerous programs, events and benefits to Ultimate players and organizations state wide. My vision is that we will continue to foster a culture that allows the Ultimate community to share the fabulous virtues (character, relationship building, sportsmanship, and fitness) of the greatest sport on the planet earth with others that are unfamiliar with our sport; and to enhance and enrich the opportunities to participate for those that already love Ultimate! This will certainly create an environment where competitive HS, College & Club ultimate can thrive at the national level.
Vice President: Brittney Ballard
I have been playing ultimate for 11 years now. I started playing pick up my junior year of high school and then competitively for four years at Indiana University. Currently, I am heading into my 7 season with Liquid Hustle, mixed team out of Indianapolis, and captaining for my second season. I also played the first season of Indianapolis Red, the professional women's team now associated with the Premier Ultimate League.
Outside of playing ultimate, I am trying to help promote the sport to which I love. I have been participating in IUF meetings for the last three years. I am the Girls State Outreach Coordinator for USA Ultimate. I have helped run clinics for kids including home school PE programs and the Boys and Girls Club.
My main goal with IUF is to introduce the sport of Ultimate to as many people as we possibly can. I want to teach all age groups how to play and watch these individuals grow with the sport. I want to increase the numbers of players in Indiana especially the women. My hope is to provide individuals with an outlet through ultimate to create safe environments to achieve full potential in all aspects of life.
Treasurer: Blake Vanderbush
I am originally from the west side of Indianapolis and have lived in Indiana my entire life. I started playing pick up Ultimate during high school but didn't play competitively until attending Ball State University.
Since college, I have participated in a number of city recreational leagues, captained USAU club teams, and played for the Indianapolis AlleyCats of the AUDL.
My hope for the IUF is that we will be able to expand the number of opportunities to play Ultimate in Indiana while also improving the level of competition. I also hope we improve the competitiveness of the top level teams in order to compete at a national level.
Secretary: Rechelle Frash
I began my ultimate career at Ohio University (Go Bobcats!!) in Athens, OH, playing with the amazing 'Stacked' Women's Ultimate Team. I played with OU for 5 years, which included the college season, fall league, and an abundance of pickup games. During that time, I also played for a USAU Mixed Club Team, Asylum. I moved to Indy in 2018 and immediately got involved in the Ultimate community that exists here! I have enjoyed meeting new ultimate players, participating in IUF leagues & captaining a mixed club team.
With experience in the recreation and nonprofit world, I am excited to bring my skills and interests as a Board Member and Secretary to the Indiana Ultimate Foundation. I am passionate about providing positive and engaging recreational experiences for those in the community, across all ages. I hope to be able to assist in growing and strengthening the sport of Ultimate in Indiana. As well as sparking excitement in young players to continue to grow and foster their love of the sport, which in turn will help its continued growth across the country and the world.

I started playing pickup ultimate in college, as well as across the US as I travelled for work back in the day. Here in Indy, I got hooked on the ultimate community through leagues and Riverside pickup. I've played competitively with open and mixed teams over the past many years, as well as masters and grand masters. For the majority of that time I played with or captained Liquid Hustle, the Indy mixed team. I've enjoyed watching the community grow and evolve over time, as well as the friendships and experiences I've been fortunate to have here.
My hope for IUF is to create a community that people want to be a part of, whether it is through leagues, coaching, club, or outreach programs. In doing so, we can build the pipeline that puts Indianapolis on the map in terms of competitiveness and opportunities to share the sport we love with others.

I’m originally from the Indianapolis area (Fortville, IN) and I started playing casual pick up ultimate during my freshman year of high school in 2011. When I went away for college at IU Bloomington, I sought out their ultimate team and joined and played for the IU Calamity Janes for 4 years. After my freshman year at IU, my first real experience with competitive ultimate, I was hooked and played as much ultimate as I could! I’ve played with Liquid Hustle, Indy Rogue, and Indianapolis Red. I’ve also played in recreational leagues in both Indianapolis and Bloomington.
I’m excited for the opportunity to serve the Indianapolis ultimate community in this way! I hope to help foster an environment and community that’s encouraging, welcoming, fun, and competitive for all involved. I love to see the sport of ultimate growing and hope to see the sport continue to grow. My biggest goal is to help create an environment that makes sure people want to continue playing and being a part of our community once they find us!

I'm originally from a very small town in northern Indiana so I didn't know what ultimate was until I was accidentally introduced to it at Purdue University in 2012. I immediately fell in love with the sport. I've played with Purdue AMOC for 4 years and on club teams such as iBang, Liquid Hustle and Indy Rogue. I have also played in several IUF leagues. I am also a player for Indy Red, the Indy women's professional team in the Premier Ultimate League. I'm thrilled to be able to become a member on the IUF board. My goal is to help IUF become a more welcoming and flourishing community for all players at every level of play. I would love to be able to help create more opportunities for people to grow and love this sport at all ages!

I became involved with ultimate in high school. Like many people, I was introduced through my church. I went on to begin helping with starting a club at North Central High School, I was also involved with the club at Pike High School, before moving on to Indiana Wesleyan, where I served as the club president for three years, served as a captain, and attended a D-III College Championship. I have been involved with the Indiana Ultimate community and USA Ultimate for a long time, and have become passionate about the individuals in our community, passionate about my relationships with individuals in the community, and passionate about what this community has to offer. I strive to make this community a place where all individuals are happy and accepted, and we continue to grow the sport so many of us have come to love.
