Indiana Ultimate Foundation is a non-profit organization created for the purpose of representing and driving the growth of Indiana's Ultimate community at each level of play. At the core of this organization is a President, Vice President, Treasurer, and Secretary, who work alongside three Trustees to discuss the needs of our Ultimate community and develop ways to meet them. It is the purpose of the board to work collaboratively with committee chairs and the Ultimate community to overcome the challenges of each demographic, foster growth, and fulfill IUF's Mission and Vision Statement.
President: John Rempel
Currently I participate in recreational leagues and compete in the Great Grand Masters division of USA Ultimate. Additionally, I compete in the new Legends division. I am also involved in organizing and coaching youth programs, including our HS Indoor Leagues and Tournament, Youth Summer League & Youth Club teams that compete in the USA Ultimate U.S. Open, Youth Club Championships.
I am extremely excited that IUF has created a "same-page" effort for the growth and development of all Ultimate in Indiana. I am proud that IUF is a USA Ultimate Affiliate Organization that allows us to provide numerous programs, events and benefits to Ultimate players and organizations state wide. My vision is that we will continue to foster a culture that allows the Ultimate community to share the fabulous virtues (character, relationship building, sportsmanship, and fitness) of the greatest sport on the planet earth with others that are unfamiliar with our sport; and to enhance and enrich the opportunities to participate for those that already love Ultimate! This will certainly create an environment where competitive HS, College, Club & Professional Ultimate can thrive at the national level.
We will continue to do the work to have Equity, Diversity & Inclusivity as the driving force for all of our programs. We will strive to be a welcoming community where every participant feels valued and appreciated.
Vice President: Brittney Ballard
I have been playing ultimate for 11 years now. I started playing pick up my junior year of high school and then competitively for four years at Indiana University. Currently, I am heading into my 7 season with Liquid Hustle, mixed team out of Indianapolis, and captaining for my second season. I also played the first season of Indianapolis Red, the professional women's team now associated with the Premier Ultimate League.
Outside of playing ultimate, I am trying to help promote the sport to which I love. I have been participating in IUF meetings for the last three years. I am the Girls State Outreach Coordinator for USA Ultimate. I have helped run clinics for kids including home school PE programs and the Boys and Girls Club.
My main goal with IUF is to introduce the sport of Ultimate to as many people as we possibly can. I want to teach all age groups how to play and watch these individuals grow with the sport. I want to increase the numbers of players in Indiana especially the women. My hope is to provide individuals with an outlet through ultimate to create safe environments to achieve full potential in all aspects of life.

I first started playing Ultimate in college at Ball State University 6 years ago. I eventually captained for the women’s team and came back later to coach the men’s team for a year. Thanks to some pretty incredible people, I’ve had a variety of ultimate experiences which has led to me now playing for Indianapolis Red, the professional women’s team here, and captaining the mixed team Indy Spectre.
I have a B.S. in English Education and a M.A. in English with a focus in Gothic Literature, Horror, and Monsters. I also worked with animals for a few years while in school and am now currently working for a local roofing company. I’m excited to be apart of IUF and help promote the sport I love to other people and help with opportunities to play. I’ve had incredible experiences because of the care and generosity of other ultimate players and I hope to give that back in whatever ways I can.

I'm originally from a very small town in northern Indiana so I didn't know what Ultimate was until I was accidentally introduced to it at Purdue University in 2012. I immediately fell in love with the sport. I've played with Purdue AMOC for 4 years and on club teams such as iBang, Liquid Hustle and Indy Rogue. I have also played in several IUF leagues. I also was a player for Indy Red, the Indy women's professional team in the Premier Ultimate League. I'm thrilled to be able to become a member on the IUF board. My goal is to help IUF become a more welcoming and flourishing community for all players at every level of play. I would love to be able to help create more opportunities for people to grow and love this sport at all ages!

I started playing frisbee in 2011 at Purdue University, where I played for a year before taking a 6 year break. I got back into frisbee in 2018 by playing in a league up in Fort Wayne and by chance finishing out that years club season with Indy Rogue. I then played a few club seasons bouncing from Fort Wayne TRUC, Cincinnati Steamboat & Shipwreck, before helping create the mixed team Indy Spectre! I work full time for the Indiana Army National Guard and have been serving in some form since 2012. I have two bachelor's degrees and am working on my master's part time. I enjoy reading, watching movies, and spending time with my three dogs.
I am excited to be a part of the IUF board, helping our Ultimate community grow and providing more and more opportunities for players of all age, skill, and experience.

I was ignorant of Ultimate before I went to college. I started playing in 2008 in eastern Tennessee and played pickup throughout college. It was the most enjoyable way to procrastinate writing lab reports. I moved back to northern Indiana in 2013 and found myself on the starting D line for the Detroit Mechanix in 2015. After contributing to a significant losing streak (not “The Streak”), I moved to Indianapolis and discovered Club Ultimate. I played with Liquid Hustle for a few years until a broken collarbone and the global pandemic put the brakes on my field time. In 2023 I was back and played for Indy Spectre’s first season.
I always look forward to our local leagues! Catch me on a sideline and say Hi.

I am a long time active member of the Indy Ultimate community, participating and captaining in recreational leagues. I also compete in Great Grand Masters and Legends division and captain a Legends team and organize Just Pullet, an reunion team for the annual Poultry Days Tournament.
I look forward to helping Indiana Ultimate prosper. I am a lifelong Ultimate player and want to give back to the sport and the community that has been so influential in my life. I will work to promote the Spirit of the Game and grow the sport in Indiana.
