After months of league play and then team based practices, the IUF's three team delegation is gearing up to attend the Youth Club Championships in Blaine, Minnesota on August 12th, 13th, and 14th!
This three day tournament is the pinnacle of youth ultimate in the country, at which 75+ teams in the U19 boys, U19 mixed*, U19 girls, U16 boys, and U16 girls from around the country compete to be the best, in terms of skill and sportsmanship, and representing their home on the biggest stage!
This amazing opportunity helps push many of our thriving youth players to become the next club and professional players in Indiana, while also being a welcoming environment to new players, getting them hooked like so many of us have become over the years.
Unfortunately this opportunity comes at a cost, and that cost falls directly on to the players. The IUF has organized fields, coaching, jerseys, and minor fundraising throughout the year, but it's imperative that we reach out to our generous community for support so that we can guarantee no hard working, passionate player is excluded based on cost alone.
If you could, please support this fundraising campaign in one of two ways:
1) Using the link below to donate directly, with all proceeds going to reduce costs to players and support players in need, or
2) Sharing this link with your local ultimate communities, teams, leagues, friends, and alumni to spread the word about this cause.
Last season, through these efforts, Indiana was able to represent in both the the U19 boys and U16 boys divisions, with each team finishing in the top half of the country and toppling state communities traditionally thought of as elite. In addition to our boys program developing more, this year is also the first year for the IUF to send a U19 mixed team, a key stepping stone for promoting the growth of girls and women's ultimate throughout the state.
Thank you for your continued support of local youth ultimate, and the future of our community as a whole!
*It has been determined the U19 mixed team is unable to attend. In its place, a second boys team (Indiana INcognito) will attend instead.
